REVISOR'S NOTE, OMITTING ART. 1.01

Revisor's Note

V.T.I.C. Article 1.01 provides that "This Act," meaning Chapter 491, Acts of the 52nd Legislature, Regular Session, 1951, "constitutes and shall be known as the Insurance Code."  Chapter 491, Acts of the 52nd Legislature, Regular Session, 1951, compiled the insurance laws of this state as the 1951 Insurance Code.  Numerous subsequent amendments, however, expanded the size and scope of the 1951 Insurance Code.  In current usage, a reference to the "Insurance Code" means the expanded code, including the 1951 Insurance Code, subsequent amendments to the 1951 Insurance Code, and other laws that were not enacted as subsequent amendments to the 1951 Insurance Code but that have been codified as part of the Insurance Code.  The revised law, therefore, omits V.T.I.C. Article 1.01 as executed.  The omitted law reads:

Art. 1.01.  SHORT TITLE.  This Act constitutes and shall be known as the Insurance Code.
