If a bill has amendments, you can view the amendment information.
Accessing the Amendments Window
After you look up a bill, click the Amendments tab. The bill's Amendments window displays.
NOTE: If a bill does not have amendments, the Amendments tab is disabled.
The following describes information in the Amendments window:
The number of amendments for the bill displays at the top of the Amendments table.
Reading: Indicates the chamber (H or S) and the reading (2 or 3) where the amendment was offered.
Number: Displays the amendment number as determined by the house or the senate.
NOTE: The senate amendments are either floor (F) or committee (C) amendments.
Author: Displays the amendment's primary author. Click the Author column heading to sort all amendments by author.
Coauthor: Click the Coauthor link to open a separate window that displays the amendment's coauthors.
Type: Indicates the type of amendment.
Action and Action Date: Displays the action taken on the amendment and the date. Click the Action or Action Date column heading to sort by action or by action date.
Text: Click the PDF or HTML icon to open a separate window that displays the amendment text.
