Bills

Use the Bill Alerts feature to receive an e-mail alert when certain actions are added to entered bills.

NOTE:  You must log in to My TLO to set bill alerts.

Bill Alert List

The Bill Alert List displays the bills that you select to receive alerts about via e-mail .  You can add bills, delete bills, or save changes to your alert list on the Alert List page.  Access the Bill Alerts window to view the Alert List.

 

My Bill Alerts Today

  1. Choose My TLO | Alerts | Bills.  The Bill Alerts window displays.

  2. Click the My Bill Alerts Today link. The My Alerts Today window displays the legislature, the number of alerts you have received today, and a list of bills and actions that you've been alerted on.

Bill Alerts Report

  1. Choose My TLO | Alerts | Bills.  The Bill Alerts window displays.

  2. Click the Bill Alert Report link. The Bill Alerts Report window displays the Bill Number, Author, Sponsor, Last Action, Caption, and Comment for the bills in your alert list.  

NOTE:  Click the Export Results to PDF link to save the list as a PDF.

 

Adding bills in the Bill Alerts Window

  1. Choose My TLO | Alerts | Bills.  The Bill Alerts window displays.

  2. In the Bill field, enter a bill number.

  3. In the Category field, use the drop-down list to select an action.

  1. In the Comment field, enter your comments about that bill.

NOTE:  You can enter up to 120 characters in the Comment field.

  1. Click Add Bill to add the bill.

  1. Click Save to save your Bill Alerts.   

  1. To delete a bill, click the check box corresponding to the bill and click Delete.

 

Adding Bills From Search Results

  1. From the Bill Search Results tab, or the Text Search Results tab, click the drop-down list next to the bill number.

  2. Select Add to Alert List.  The Add Bill to Alert dialog box displays.

  3. Use the Category drop-down list to select an action category.

  4. In the Comment field, enter your comments about the bill.

NOTE:  Entering comments is optional.

  1. Click OK.

 

Adding Bills Using the Add Alert icon

  1. Access any of the Bill Lookup screens of a bill.

  2. Click the Add to Alert List link.  The Add Bill to Alert dialog box displays.

  3. Use the Category drop-down list to select an action category.

  4. In the Comment field, enter your comments about the bill.

NOTE:  Entering comments is optional.

  1. Click OK.
